March 2026 – 2nd Cove Sea Scout Group

March Charity of the Month: 2nd Cove Sea Scout Group

This month, we’re proud to support 2nd Cove Sea Scout Group, a local charity helping children and young people in Farnborough grow through adventure, teamwork and practical life skills.

2nd Cove Sea Scouts give young people aged 4 to 15 the opportunity to try new experiences — from sailing, kayaking and paddleboarding at Hawley Lake to camping, outdoor cooking, navigation and community projects. As the only Sea Scout group in the Blackwater Valley District, they offer unique water‑based activities alongside the full Scouting programme.

All sections meet at Blunden Hall in Cove, where Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts build confidence, independence and lasting friendships in a supportive environment.

How Your Support Helps

Donations help provide:

  • Boats, paddles, buoyancy aids and safety equipment

  • Camping gear and outdoor cooking equipment

  • Training and support for volunteer leaders

  • Subsidised activities so every young person can take part, regardless of background

Every contribution helps keep Scouting accessible to all.

✨ You can donate at our Noah’s Ark donation point in the centre. Thank you for your support.
