The new footwear store marks a significant milestone for the Farnborough shopping centre.
Princes Mead Shopping Centre is set to welcome footwear retailer Deichmann, with the forthcoming opening taking the centre to 100% occupancy and bringing more choice to shoppers in Farnborough.
Due to open before Christmas, Deichmann will add to the centre’s range of diverse retailers including national brands and independents. Known for affordable shoes for women, men and children, the brand will give local families another reason to shop in the town centre.
The opening marks a significant milestone for Princes Mead, with every retail unit within the covered mall occupied once Deichmann opens its doors.
Located in Farnborough town centre, Hampshire, Princes Mead brings together more than 30 stores, combining familiar high street names with independent businesses. Its retail mix includes Boots, JD Sports, Clarks, Holland & Barrett, The Works and Yours, alongside independent shops such as Dress Mode, Party Buz and The Crafters Collective. Costa Coffee, Subway and a recently refurbished Burger King offer places to stop for refreshments during a visit.
Duncan Coombes, Centre Manager at Princes Mead, said:
“We’re delighted to be welcoming Deichmann to Princes Mead. Its range of affordable footwear will be a welcome addition for our shoppers, and reaching 100% occupancy makes this opening a particularly proud moment for the centre.
Our focus is on making Princes Mead a place that serves local people, with shops they value and reasons to visit throughout the year. This milestone is an opportunity to thank our retailers and the community for their continued support. We look forward to welcoming customers through Deichmann’s doors.”
Princes Mead’s commitment to Farnborough extends beyond shopping. The centre supports local charities and community activity, hosts family events and seasonal children’s activities, and provides a home for independent retailers. Together, these help keep the centre connected to the people who use it every day.
